To Help Unleash The Church Of Christ In The Unity Of The Holy Spirit Through The Gospel Of Grace.  I invite you to read these passages to renew our minds, so as the Bible affirms, we will be transformed from Glory to Glory into the Image of Christ, by God’s Grace, and not by The Law, for Grace and Law are in opposite ends of the spectrum.

The Law brags of our love for God, while Grace brags of God’s love for us. The Law kills, for it is the ministry of death, while Grace brings life, for it is the ministry of the Spirit. The Law says you must DO, Grace says it is DONE.  The Law says you must be righteous to see God, while Grace says you are righteous in Christ and are seated with Christ in heavenly places, for as Jesus is so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).

The Law, simply put, nullifies Grace. Mixing Grace with The Law is like putting a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment which pulls away from the garment, and a worse tear results; or putting new wine into old wineskins which burst the wineskins spilling the wine and ruining the wineskins (Matthew 9: 16-17, Mark 2: 21-22).  As the analogy above teaches, The Law divides, while Grace unites. The Law is self-righteousness, while Grace is God’s righteousness. The Law is based on fear, but Grace on love.

And now guest what is at the root of the division of the Church? Our self-righteousness, or The Law. A Christian denomination says our doctrine is the right one for we believe and do this and that, while belittling others, sometimes even calling them sects, for not being as “righteous” as we are.

So how can Christians unite and fulfill Jesus’ prayer just before He gave His life for ours (John 17:20-23)? Through God’s righteousness, His Grace, and not ours.

“There are a few things quite so boring as being religious, but there is nothing quite so exciting as being a Christian!

Most folks have never discovered the difference between the one and the other, so that there are those who sincerely try to live a life they do not have, substituting religion for God, Christianity for Christ, and their own noble endeavors for the energy, joy, and power of the Holy Spirit. In the absence of reality, they can only grasp at ritual, stubbornly defending the latter in the absence of the former, lest they be found with neither!

They are lamps without oil, cars without gas, and pens without ink, baffled at their own impotence in the absence of all that alone can make man functional; for man was so engineered by God that the presence of the Creator within the creature is indispensable to his humanity. Christ gave Himself for us to give Himself to us! His presence puts God back into the man! He came that we might have life – God’s life!

There are those who have a life they never live. They have come to Christ and thanked Him only for what He did, but do not live in the power of who He is. Between the Jesus who “was” and the Jesus who “will be” they live in a spiritual vacuum, trying with no little zeal to live for Christ a life that only He can live in and through them, perpetually begging for what in Him they already have!”
